Frequent Questions
How good will the image quality of my video be?
Your video will be captured at the highest quality currently available utilizing the HDV (high definition video) format. This format represents a significant upgrade to MiniDV and DVCAM formats utilized by many other videographers. You can be assured that your video will be of exceptional quality. Please note that all of the images on this website are screen captures from DEV-films productions.
What is high definition video? Why is it important?
High definition video contains significantly more detail than standard definition (SD) video. SD footage contains 720 x 480 pixels of information, whereas HDV footage captures at 1440 wide pixels x 1080 pixels of information (effectively displays at 1920 x 1080). Technical jargon aside, the HDV camera is capable of capturing more detail. HD is federally mandated to be the standard for broadcast television by 2009, so even if you aren't HD ready now, shooting in HDV ensures that your wedding video won't be obsolete in a few years.
Will I be able to hear my vows?
Absolutely. We put wireless lapel microphones on both the groom and the minister, ensuring that we have the best possible sound for your vows and the minister's sermon. We utilize true diversity wireless microphone systems, reducing the chance of interference in capturing the audio. This is a must for any important audio at an event.
How do I book you?
The first thing you should do is contact us to see if we have your date available - obviously, contacting us sooner than later is to your advantage, as dates can fill up quickly. If the date is available, you can reserve it by submitting the required $250 reservation fee. This dollar amount is applied toward the cost of your video and is not an additional charge.
